At the onset of any disruption of comfort, mental or emotional or equilibrium: Stop! Breathe. Focus. Question. Pay Attention. Recognize and Attend The Lesson: Something’s different. What is it? What am I experiencing? What seems to be inspiring it? What can I observe? Who am I in this moment? Do I like it? Does it Feel Good?
What, exactly, am I Judging? How is the Judgment about myself? From where does the Judgment originate? Is it attached to a Should, Story or Belief that hurts? What am I trying and failing to accomplish with this Judgment? What thinking and behavior might I Choose that Honors and Respects The Lesson and gets me closer to knowing my truth, accepting my self, learning, choosing and experiencing success now and in the future?
What am I Defending and Protecting? What button just got pushed? To what am I actually responding? Is it in the present? Does it connect to a past hurt? Is it a compound reaction? What emotions are present? How shall I Honor and Respect myself and all others at this very difficult and challenging moment?
Know your hotspots. Identify the thinking and behaviors experienced as disgusting, repellant and repulsive. Of whom does this person remind me? Is it me? Someone I know? Someone with whom I have unfinished business? Does this situation have Resonance? Is this a new or ongoing Lesson? What’s the same? What’s different?
What can I See and Learn about myself?
Have I done that? Have others done that to me? Do I do that now? If not, what progress have I made in this Lesson? How am I different? How am I successful? Where am I Failing? What shall I do differently next time this Lesson is Presented? If so, How shall I Apply Knowledge to understand and Resolve this Lesson? What is my true motivation? What do I hope to achieve or gain by thinking or behaving in this manner? What can I Recognize, Acknowledge, Admit, Accept, Stop!, Change, Release, Forgive or Let Go of to complete and Resolve this Lesson?
What happened? What am I experiencing? What am I observing?
Have I ever experienced, done or said anything similar?
Is this a Lesson I can Recognize?
Can I identify a pattern? How is this Lesson about me?
Can I understand it? Do I like it? Does it Feel Good? What can I Learn about myself?
How do I want to respond? How would the person I imagine myself to be respond in this situation at my best and at my worst?
Who am I when I am My Lesson Plan?
What am I thinking? How am I behaving?
How do I experience the condition of Defense and Protection?
What are my primary Defensive responses?
What are my Weapons of Choice? How do I apply them?
What am I trying to accomplish? What is my true motivation or goal?
Does it work? Does it Feel Good? Who shall I Choose to be? My Lesson Plan? or my Self?
What does this Lesson mean to me? What does it show me about myself?
How can I apply The Tenets to understand The Lesson?
Where did I Succeed? Where did I Fail? What can I Learn from this experience?
How shall I apply the principles of Right Thinking and Correct Action to help me be different and Choose more confidently next time?
